About the Allen Clay Joint Fire District
Welcome! The Allen Clay Joint Fire District is located in western Ottawa County in northwest Ohio with a coverage area of 75 square miles that encompasses rural, industrial, and residential areas as well as the Ohio Turnpike and several highly traveled state highways. The Allen Clay JFD is a combination fire district consisting of both fire and emergency medical services, providing emergency response to citizens and visitors of the district. The department is comprised of 80 emergency responders in three stations who are dedicated to providing the highest level of care and service 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The Allen Clay JFD places a priority on engaging with and serving its community, as well as providing on-going training and education to enhance the capabilities of Allen Clay responders.
The mission of the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District is to provide professional, efficient and timely fire, rescue, and EMS services to citizens and visitors of the Village of Genoa, Village of Clay Center, Allen Township, and Clay Township as well as recipients of mutual aid.
Our core objectives are:
To provide these services through the utilization of highly trained and skilled full-time and part-paid Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics.
To be proactive in providing quality training and equipment to our personnel utilizing the resources available to assure the delivery of competent, caring service.
To always strive to place the safety of our citizens and personnel as our "Number One" priority in protecting our communities from loss of life and property.
The purpose of the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District is to provide the following type of services to the townships of Allen and Clay, the villages within those townships, and contracted areas, in addition to other communities as requested through the Mutual Aid agreements.
